TV tonight: Fightland is 50 Cent’s big and bloody boxing drama
“Boxing is a criminal enterprise,” says Nicholas Pinnock’s slick crime kingpin Kingsley Marshall. “Always has been, always will be.” It’s a highly debatable claim but typical of this big, bloody and somewhat basic drama executive-produced by Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson, which is set at the nexus of pugilism and gangsterism. It stars Howard Charles as “Duke Kilroy”, a champion boxer in search of revenge after the murder of his brother. About as subtle as a punch in the face. Phil Harrison
