EBENEZER• A TV review of Channel 4’s The Great ADHD Myth? referred to a 10-year-old boy who came off medication for six weeks to see if other strategies helped, and his mother’s decision to then keep him off the drugs. However, the review omitted mention of a caption at the end of the programme noting that the boy resumed medication after a poor set of school exam results, but that he hoped to stop again during the summer. Also, remarks made by the neuroscientist Prof Katya Rubia in the documentary were inaccurately paraphrased as saying there is no convincing data that “ADHD brains” are any different from “normal brains” (19 August, G2, p10).
